Significant moments in music video history

24th December 1900 - Invention of the gramophone.

1933 - Choreography involved within movies e.g. West Side Story.

1940 - The Disney film 'Fantasia' came out, was the first musical film.

1952 - Musical films were introduced.

1960 - Elvis Presley was introduced, singer/ dancer.

1972 - Music artists adapting a persona , a prime example of this would be David Bowie with multiple different personas.

1981 - The first ever TV station to show music videos on their channel, MTV.

1983 - Michael Jackson made the first ever mini- movie for his song, 'thriller' .

2005 - The introduction of Youtube, a site where you can stream music videos anywhere.

2014 - Beyonce introduced a full album with music videos for each of the songs. The music videos all told a story and was seen as a movie. She also did this with her another album 'Lemonade' in which she made an entire movie at the end with the music included.

This enabled us to reflect on the positives and areas of improvement of our overall product and learn from our audience feedback given. It also allowed The majority of people voted positively towards our product, which can be portrayed throughout our video and enabled us to see the different ages and genres react to our products.

Filming: Day Two

Hey guys!  So today we filmed in our second location. We filmed within the woods and next to the pond. We managed to get a wide variety of shots, this includes shots such as a mid shot, high angle, over-the-shoulder, tracking and panning shots to ensure that we had a variety of different shots in different locations to keep the audience interested whilst watching the music video. We made sure on the day that we didn't forget our storyboard, as this would direct us so we miss any shots and risk having to come back to re-film. A problem with re-filming and why we made sure we had a variety of shots was that the weather may have changed or Amy could look different compared to the first shots we took, this would make it as the consistency of the shots would be an issue.  To achieve the shots we used the tripod for stable shots and a shoulder mount for the steady tracking shots.
