Final Decision on Music Video (Old)

Our group really didn't have the foggiest idea on what our song choice was going to be for our music video, and required (what seemed to us) endless research on YouTube and Spotify for the perfect song for us. After much consideration between our group, we decided on the song, 'Take A Walk' performed by Passion Pit.

 We compared this song with other songs such as "We're Not The Same" by Wolf Alice which is more of a slow song, and then "Do You Think Of Me?" by Misha B, which is more up tempo compared to the Wolf Alice song. However, we decided in the end that 'Take A Walk' would probably be the most suitable and fun video to film. The song is pop/electro-pop. Comparing them to the other two songs, the sound is this song has more of a happier feel to it. When deciding what song to do, we came together and said that we didn't want to do a music video to a wide spread popular artist, such as Beyonce or Ellie Goulding, and thought it would be better to do a much smaller artist, such as Passion Pit, who only really have one song that has been well recognised. We thought a smaller artist because then maybe, the audience watching may have never heard the song before or seen the video for the original music video, so they can give valuable judgement and opinions.

Filming: Day Two

Hey guys!  So today we filmed in our second location. We filmed within the woods and next to the pond. We managed to get a wide variety of shots, this includes shots such as a mid shot, high angle, over-the-shoulder, tracking and panning shots to ensure that we had a variety of different shots in different locations to keep the audience interested whilst watching the music video. We made sure on the day that we didn't forget our storyboard, as this would direct us so we miss any shots and risk having to come back to re-film. A problem with re-filming and why we made sure we had a variety of shots was that the weather may have changed or Amy could look different compared to the first shots we took, this would make it as the consistency of the shots would be an issue.  To achieve the shots we used the tripod for stable shots and a shoulder mount for the steady tracking shots.
